I've been jamming with my band for two years and all we have is a silly plastic karoke mic and speaker that has little equaliser settings (this means volume control) and I am looking to get something with a heap more bite, any suggestions?

yeah maybe it'd help to have a better setup while jamming which is currently the most I do with a mic so I can learn without clipping myself from talking in my normal voice

Monk, there are some good mics out there for around $160, will last for ever and have a nice mid bite to them. Check out the Audix range, they are USA made, better than Shure
